GOAT support
Timers, alarms, and moments on one timeline.
Get in touch
Email ericdlaspe@gmail.com with your device, iOS/iPadOS version, GOAT version/build, and the steps that led to the problem. If you attach a screenshot, remove personal labels and notes first. Beta testers can also send feedback from TestFlight.
An alarm did not sound
Check that GOAT has Alarms permission in Settings. If GOAT reports that it could not schedule an alert, follow the message in the app; a timeline entry alone does not confirm that a system alarm was scheduled. Tell us the scheduled time and whether the device was locked when reporting an issue.
New in GOAT 1.2
Live Activities, saved timeframes, and new date/time controls are now available to our private TestFlight group. Existing testers can open TestFlight to update. See what’s new and how it works.
A Live Activity did not appear
In version 1.2, timers show a card during their final hour by default. Turn on Live Activity from start in New Timer or Edit to request it earlier. Check GOAT’s Live Activities permission in iPhone Settings. System limits still apply, including an eight-hour active lifetime. If a card is missing, tell us the timer’s duration, when you expected it, whether GOAT was open, and whether reopening the app restored it.
Adding time from a card or Watch
In version 1.2, tap an iPhone Live Activity to open its timer in GOAT, then choose Add time and a duration. Watch timer details are read-only; ringing alerts offer Stop on both devices.
Finding a past moment
Use Search to find text in labels and notes. You can also widen the timeline's timescale to include older entries.
A repeating alarm keeps coming back
Upcoming occurrences belong to one series. Use the series deletion action to remove the repeating alarm.
The timeline will not open
If GOAT shows Timeline Unavailable, keep the app installed to preserve its existing data and contact support. The recovery screen offers Try Again without deleting the journal.
