Give related moments a place together

Make a group for a routine, a project, or an appointment. Choose its name, color, and symbol. Colored chits identify each membership on your cards, and the symbols use the same colors. One item can belong to several groups.

Open a group to focus the timeline on its cards. A timer brings all its steps; an alarm series brings its occurrences. Tags keep their own labels, so the group adds context without replacing the details.

01 / BOTTLE TIME

The reminder and
the real moment.

An alarm sequence can hold your chosen bottle reminders. Tag the moment a bottle is actually given, then put both in a Baby feeds group.

In this example, the reminder was at 10:00 and the feeding tag was saved for 10:12. Select those two cards and choose Difference: they’re 12 minutes apart.

The Bottle given tag also belongs to Home. The same moment can be useful in more than one context.

02 / AT THE REPAIR SHOP

The promise and
the finish time.

Set a timer for the service duration promised to a customer. In the Auto shop group, the Oil service timer sits alongside tags for Inspection done and Ready for pickup.

Here, Promised finish was 10:30 AM and Ready for pickup was recorded at 10:42 AM. Select the timer’s end card and the completion tag to see the 12-minute difference. Choose the inspection tag instead to examine another part of the appointment.

These cards also belong to Bay 2, so the same records can be viewed by service area.

03 / DIFFERENCE

Two moments.
One clear answer.

  1. Tap the selection symbol on the timeline.
  2. Select any two cards, then tap Difference.
  3. Read the time between them, or copy the result.

You can also start from a card’s long-press menu. While selecting, tapping anywhere on a card—including its node—selects that card. Choose Groups to add memberships or manage your groups.

Difference compares the two moments you select. You decide which planned and actual events belong together.

A few more things to try in 1.3

  • Edit your record. Change a tag’s date and time, or a timer step’s start and end. Original creation metadata stays preserved. Keep the other step dates fixed, or choose to move the entire timer.
  • Build a routine faster. Duplicate steps and drag to reorder them when creating a new timer. Existing timers can add steps from any card in the series.
  • Repeat from the ringing alert. Restart the whole timer from its final-step alert on iPhone or Watch. Intermediate step alerts stay Stop-only.
  • Make Now your own. Choose and reorder short phrases beneath Now. Tap a phrase to move to the next enabled one.
